RE: An Economical Magnecharger (inductive charger)

Excuse the obsevation of an amateur, especially if I happen to
be wrong.

However, I thought that the induced magnetic field of the secondary
opposed that of the primary. The windings tend to fly apart,
not pull together. I can cite a reference in "Electric Motors
and Control Techciques" by Irving M. Gottlieb, if you want me
to try to locate it.

Again, I haven't any direct experience, but it makes sense to
me. Hopefully, I've just plain missed some detail of your plan.
If so, sorry for the use of bandwidth.

The paddle's weight and/or the magnetic force when operating
would move the center leg to close the air gap, much as a solenoid
gets quiet once it has seated its plunger. In fact, the magnetic
force will be so high that it would be impossible to forcibly
remove the primary paddle when operating at full power.
