Truly suggest you read "Convert It," by Mike Brown,
and possibly also Bill Brandt's "Build YOur Own
Electric Vehicle.  
If you only want to do websites, type in Electric
Automobile Association, and you'll get hits like the
Austin area one (AAEAA).  They have some info that
would help, and also Electro Automotive.
Curtis writes a book (primarily for the forklift
industry) called Battery Book One, that will help on
batt. terminology.
