C5 coming up for sale
Hi Folks,
I hope this isn't considered too rude but...
Sometime in the next few days I'll be putting a C5 on ebay unless I get a
decent offer for it from someone around here (or a few other EV places I've
posted it like the C5 owners group), I've got some photo's to email out if
anyone wants to have a look, there's three at 45Kb each (640x429) or three
at around 400Kb each (about 1500x1200 IIRC). I've never seen an unrestored
one that looked this good and I've seen lots.....I'm not selling up and out
of the EV thing, but I've got three C5's ATM, one that I ride, one that I
need to use to measure up for parts to fit to the long-range one for another
end-to-end attempt this summer and this one....I only have space for two
really and this one deserves a better home than me as one day I'll get
desperate and rob it for parts adn that would be a tragedy.....
It's done about 10 miles in it's entire life and been stored dry since 1985.
Apart from a small scrape to one of hte reflective strips on the side it is
immaculate, original tyres, original inner tubes, it's got an original
battery that holds some charge (not a lot though), the original charger, the
tool kit is unrusted, the tool-kit jack-tube is unmarked, it has it's
original documentation, it has the original Sinclair QA sticker still on it,
it has the original box that the charger, battery mounting kit and toolkit
came in, I'm also thowing in a pair of 25Ah gelcels and a charger that will
recharge them, they have the wiring on to wire them into the standard
battery top so that it can still be used with the original keys etc.....I
used the battery set on my long-range C5 when I went to Glastonbury, so they
have a piece of C5 history in them too as I doubt a solo C5 has ever gone as
far in a day......
Sensible offers please, I'm suggesting around ?500 as a start point.....if
someone offers me ?800 then I can deliver anywhere in the UK, otherwise I
can cover most of the population from Manchester downwards easily enough for
the petrol costs for a fairly frugal diesel van.....
