Hmm...maybe this is a good point to dive in about my homemade equalizer plans (or maybe it isn't?).
I was thinking about equalizing the voltage across my 8-12 batteries while charging. If the voltage across one battery was too
high, I would reduce its resistance by putting it in parallel with a power resistor (all automatically of course). Side note: one
reason for equalizing only during charging is that quiescent current is not as much of an issue, and it can be done with one module
easier - therefore cheaper and simpler. I think that, that would be different than equalizing the voltage with no load, wouldn't
it? What conclusions have you come up with for the best kind of equalizer? What is an equalizer really supposed to do?
