SVR battery data

Now for some usefull bandwidth;

I have promised the Data that we take on the SVR-14 Batteries used in a
few of the EV Drag cars.

These Batteries are Available from EVParts.com and many others.

I know Bill Dube's Megacycle has them
Dennis Berube' Current eliminator 3 will have them shortly.
I think Steve Marks Karman Gia will have them also.

I plan on having 13 or more in Goldie, REAL soon.

So it's time to learn some about them. First They are not perfect. A few
don't match up good with the majority. This is the same story on all AGM
batteries. Look for bad things. Don't just take them out of the box and
bolt them into the Car.
So I have a Stack of them, and have been cycling them on my inverter. I
have found they make about 9 ampours of stored power at about a 17.5 amp
draw.
Joe has #4,5 on his automated battery cycler. And he just sent me a
Excell file of the first 9 cycles on battery #4. It looks just like my
data on 1,3. #2 looks about %80 less... we may get this one on line but
I doubt it.

So the data files need to be viewed, and it becomes really aparent that
you need to get 8 to 10 cycles on them before they make thier full
capacity.
We intend to now take bigger and bigger amp draws off them and record
the sag, and the amps we can get, as we are doing this. Our present gear
will become to limited in the update rates at about a 500 amp draw. I
hope to have a PreBETA Mk3 do the really high speed logging at above 500
amp loads.
So you should see these same results if you cycle a SVR-14 with about
15 to 20 amp loads followed by about 30 amp recharges, at 50 Deg F. If
you don't you have a poor sample of this battery. These tests show a
Normal battery cycle, under about what the battery is made for. As you
add more load amps the battery will get smaller in Amp hours, and a lot
hotter. On my 100 amp draws I have noticed a "WAKE up" Event at over 100
Deg F. Lots stiffer, and they take a 100 amp charge for 30 seconds
without going over 14.5 volts. They Suck, and Blow thier stuff aLOT
harder hot!!!

Ok Now here's the data file in Micro Soft Excell format.
Brief pause... Brain kicks in.... Better not.....Better ask.

Will this attachment get striped by the list serve?
And should I just post this???? The file is not really large. OK it's
128K.

We will have it on the site, but not today.!!

On the second taught.... Please respond to my perssonal E-mail, and I
will send it direct.

128K is too much abuse for us dial ups...

So ask and I will send.
