Re: LRR Tire questions

>5.43 - 3.25 = 2.2 amp. So, you'd see a 2.2 amp drop in current at 30 mph

Thank you Lee for that most *mathematical* response. I can't come close on
the calculations, but my direct experiece going from OEM Goodyear's that
shipped from the factory on my '81 Rabbit to Invicta GLR's is that I saw a
very easy 25% increase in range, and a *big* drop in curent at freeway
speeds. Before the tire change, I was drawing about 185-200 amps at 60 MPH.
After putting the GLR's on, I routinely see currents in the 130 amp range
at the same speed. Moveover, the car accelerates better and seems more
"willing" in traffic.
I like the GLR's enough to have snapped up a set I found at a flea market
while on vacation last year, new, still on the OEM honda rims. $75 for all
four. I'm hoping by the time I wear the second set out there will be more
choices for LRR tire purchases.
