Re: bombardier ev
Several of us have analyzed the problem, but no one has worked out a
solution yet. If one pulls the speed sensor plug, the car looses regen.
This not recommended because the front drum brakes are not sufficeint to
stop the car. One person who tried this told me it took him blocks to stop
the car. So the solution seems to be in building a device to reduce the
pluses in the sensor to fool the contoller into thinkin the car is going
slower than it really is.
Plus no one had determined if the excess power generated by the regen will
blow the controller. Nor have we figured out the impact on the car's range.
We do collect and swap info on the car if your neighbor is interested.
