Folks.
The oil companies are Americans just like us. They do what makes money,
Just like us. They are in the energy buisness and have been for a long
time.
They are NOT fools. They know how much we have, and when it's going to
run out. They don't want to be dynosaurs, and they are trying to be
there when the demand arrises. Just like we should.
If they can make money selling renewables, and Solar they will. If they
can't make a dime on it they will shelve it. As they should.
It's the Money!!!! as soon as the off shore petro fuels get too
expensive in dollars or Lives, then there will be a change. And not
until.
Even though Enron was a Made in Texas hose job for California, it sure
made the rest of the old US of A realise that Energy in any form should
not be taken for granted.
All of us that drive SUVs should remeber that the supply can be shut
off in a blink of the eye. And the flip side is what the heck do we
expect DEtroit to give us when Gas gets as low as 80 cents a gallon
like it did a few summers ago???? Why bother when it's cheaper than milk
or bottled water??? I don't drive a SUV, but my wife has a nice
Minivan, and I don't commute.
Electrics can't compete when Gasoline costs less than about $1.50 a
gallon. At $2.50 things change, and at you can't get it prices, Then
home charged Evs are going to rule.

I want a Hybrid with a 50 mile PLUG in range. And 450 Gas or Deisel.
