Well, I bought an EV!

Well, after looking over the EV field, and looking at a bunch of cars, I
finally bought my first EV.

1994 US Electricar Geo Prizm. On Ebay. Sight unseen.

It arrived today, dead as the proverbial doornail. I pulled the 12 volt
auxilliary battery, and replaced it with a temp spare.

Turning the key brought the car to life. The fault light came on, and five
second later it went out. The green ready light then came on.

Naah, it couldn't be....

I put it in reverse and pressed down on the pedal. Purrrrrr..... Off it went
up the driveway.

Put it in forward and pushed the pedal. Purrrr.... Off it went down the
driveway. Put it in L. Felt the regen slow it down nice and smooth....

IT WORKS! THE DARN THING ACTUALLY WORKS!

Currently the only problem seems to be that the charger thinks the battery
is full (impossible) and that the fuel gauge reads dead empty (also unlikely
if it passes diags and moves).

I just washed it. The paint is in perfect condition. And it has only 1,000
miles on it.

Wow.

Wowowowowow.
