I'm a-grinnin'

Not really a big deal, I suppose, but there's finally one more
EV on the road. Or, rather, back on the road.

A friend helped me re-cable the batteries into a 2x13 YT 156V
pack (from 3x10 120V) and get some of the non-EV problems figured
out. He also got to ride with me the first time I took it out
again.

Then I took it a little over 7 miles each way, down and then
back up the hill, to get a new backup light switch yesterday.
The e-meter told me the batteries were tired, but it did it
without complaint. Even with the shift linkage failing and leaving
it in second gear (now fixed).

I so far only have the Rudman Mk2's on the back box of eight
batteries, but none of them triggered the low-V LED. And the
PFC20 already has the pack above where it was when I first took
it out.

Anyway, we'll see how well it does, especially as I get the rest
of the Mk2s on-line. But so far, it brings major grins the to
the NW! It will take me back and forth to work and OMSI, too,
I hope. Then be on display again, under new management this
year, at the EV Awareness Day at OMSI on August 3rd.

And a big THANK YOU to John Wayland for loaning me his cutters
and crimper and some connectors. W/O him it wouldn't have happened!
Old news to some of you, but a godsend for me! All this grinning
has me excited, I guess. Gotta go out and look at the PFC20
an e-meter again...

Just had to let you all know!
