Gasless on Greenwood - The EV Alternative

Mixed RESULTS.

Forboading weather Friday night, rain showers, might have scared off a
few dozen hot-rodders, and custom-car freaks, and vintage car fans,
but it did serious dammage to our Seattle EV Turn OUT.    Only 25% of
the folks who were Pre- Paid For in ADVANCE showed up.  The scene, a
well known avenue in North Seattle, was filled with nearly 2 miles of
cars, on BOTH sides of the Street from 70th street, to 90th street, by
9:30 a.m.   Weather broke sunny, but windy.  Thousands, and I mean
THOUSANDS of spectators roamed down the closed off  Avenue from 9:30 to
4:30 pm. There were every conceivable type of hot rod, and custom car,
and street rod to look at and drool over.

Our poor showing ( the reasons there-in) ranged from broken tow-bar
hitches, to broken alarm clocks, to down right lack of committment.
The guilty will go nameless.  It was there loss, not ours.....    We
were busy talking to interested folks ks All Day Long.....

So in the End... hundreds of EV broshures were given out, and no doubt,
the role call at the next Seattle EV Association meeting will be
overwelming.

Shepherd for comming down and helping with crowd controle, Don Meyer and

Time) Crabtree, for stopping by with insight, Rich Rudmand for offering
to come all the way cross Puget Sound,  ( but we really did not need him
), Terry Parkhurst, our resident freelance auto writer,  Several prior
SEVA members, and EV owners, and My wife Donna, and Son Zachary Shane or
ION Lough for moral support in our hour of need.
