There arae a few more advantages I can think of: Fewer parallel strings
in larger EVs. Charging a single series string, not to mention design of
the fusebox and installing energy measurement devices, can be simpler.
For the same power, smaller, lighter and easier to bend wire can be
used.  I believe the Orion hybrid buses in NYC have a single 600ish volt
string on the roof, where the CNG tanks used to go (on CNG buses).

One other issue is the inverter. Above 150kW, it might be more
economical to go to double voltage rather than double amperage or double
the number of controllers. IGBTs *seem* to be more costly and less
common much above 600A. 

All this being said, I don't want to hold the wrenches when working on a
600V vehicle.
