I took my now 11 year old son last year.  The EV's and racing held his 
interest for an hour or two, then he was ready to go home.  Fortunately I 
was able to borrow a Zapi scooter for him to ride around on.  After that I 
had a hard time getting him to leave.  It is an all day event with lots of 
time between races.  If the boys come you will want to be sure they have 
things to keep them busy.  There is plenty of open space for them to ride 
bikes or scooters or some other activity but I wouldn't count on watching 
the races and mingling with EVers to hold their interest all day.
