Re: Planning to go to Woodburn--have questions

1. The track was shared with Jr. dragsters last time I went. We traded off
the track in 20 or 30 minutes slices. They are quite loud. Bring hearing
protection.

2. There are trees on the west edge of the track that make good shade in the
afternoon. It is the spectator area and there is no power over there for
charging. The pits and staging area have power but no shade. Bring your own
shade. There are rest rooms and snack bar on both sides of the track. Only
the pit side snack bar was open when I was there. There is water at the rest
rooms but not at the camp sites.

3. When I was there, the EVs raced every hour on the half hour, the Jr.
dragsters had the half hour (or was it the other way around).

4. It took me about four hours in my motorhome towing a car trailer.

5. If you can get them involved in something to hold their interest, it
could be a blast. You might consider giving them a video camera and telling
them to fill a tape with good stuff. You could have them run around to
collect pictures and descriptions of all the cars and drivers. It could make
for an interesting web page. I don't know your kids or what they will want
to do.
