Link10 (E-meter) keeps resetting--why?

After my E-Meter stopped correctly registering voltage about a month ago,
I ordered a brand new Link10 from EVParts. It's been working great for
me, up until a couple of days ago, and I'm hoping someone on the list can
give me an idea of what's wrong.

The problem I'm having is that the Link10 keeps resetting itself, clearing
the amp/hours used, and flashing, and seemingly random times. This is very
irritating for someone who wants all that good detailed data. It's happened
in my driveway, while going slow, while going fast, at a stop light, pretty
much everywhere.

It behaves as if the 12v system voltage has gotten too low. However, other
things in the car, like radio, clock, and turn signals are not affected.
I have both a Sevcon Gen II DC/DC converter and a backup SLA battery (12v
Power Sonic 7 amp/hr) too. The DC/DC converter is set to output at 13.8v,
and seems to be working fine, since I am only using 1-2A of it's 3A capacity,
so I'm sure I'm not overloading the DC/DC converter. This DC/DC converter
squeals loudly when it gets close to too much draw, and I don't hear this
noise.

I had thought that maybe the 12v SLA battery that is also connected to the
12v system might be bad, since it was there when I got the car almost a
year ago, and its age is unknown. So, I remove the 12v battery, and replaced
it with 2 6v batteries in series, from a UPS. This didn't seem to have
any effect, as I still have the problem.

The only think that might be common to all the times is the radio (which
is on all the time), but it only draws .1 A, via the DC/DC converter (per
the Link10 amp measurement).

I also thought it might be a loose wire, so I tried shaking the Link10 while
stopped and while moving, but this didn't cause the problem to happen either.

Any thoughts or suggestions of what I might try? I really don't want to
have to send the Link10 back to be repaired, unless I can conclusively determine
that it's at fault, and being brand new, it's very unlikely.

Thanks.
