Most car or light truck sized EVs use 0.2-0.3 kwh per mile. Did you mean
45 kwh (not 45kw) to produce a "gallon" of hydrogen? If so, an EV could
have gone at least 45 kwh / 0.3kwh/m = 150 miles on that amount of
energy.

Then, there is a problem defining a "gallon" of hydrogen. In what form
(compressed gas, liquid, adsorbed into some matrix)? At what temperature
and pressure?
