Dear Mr. Seaver, You are correct about the diesel/producer gas carbureation. It is simple to demonstrate on any diesel engine, stick a producer gas hose near the intake of a diesel engine and the diesel throttle will back off. Specific flow measurement may need to be made to see how much. The compression ratio can be very high and producer gas will not pre-detonate as with natural gas as the CO prevents pre-detonation.
