Dear Ryan, I have heard of the Farmland petcoke to urea plant. I believe the final plant is urea, but if it is just ammonia, then nitric acid, ammonia nitrate, and the whole shooting match of fertilizers can be made. Out of curiosity, what is the cost per ton of ammonia based upon petcoke feed? What was the capital cost? Did you use the Texaco gasifier? This should be cheaper than natural gas as a feed, but a comparison would be interesting. The Farmland plant at least the refinery is for sale as I understand. With the oil prices the way they are, there are quite a few dislocations going on in the industry. Sincerely, Leland T.
