Dear Harmon: Sounds like you may be confused... First, there is very little "high temperature NOx" - probably less than 1 ppm - in wood gas because the flame temperature is lower than that of hydrocarbons. Second, there is very little "prompt" NOx because wood contains very little nitrogen - probably less than 10 ppm. Other biomass, however, can be worse offenders... Third, conversion of the NOx to N2 and O2 will yield VERY little power at this level. Any other opinions out there?
