Dear Mr. Koch,
While we partly understand your skepticism,
we believe that it is not very fruitful to try and convince your from a
distance. Like you have said, why don't you "jump into the next plane" and
come and see our gasifiers?
We can show you a few gasifiers in
Guajrat - both in power mode as also in thermal mode. You can come to
our city of Vadodara from Mumbai and we have three flights between the two
cities. You should keep at least a couple of days here in Baroda.
Also, if you have time, we time, we could take you to the central state of Uttar
Pradesh (the capital is Lucknow) and show you a few rice husk gasifiers
there. We can take you to Calcutta in West Bengal and again show you a few
rice husk gasifiers as well as rural electrification projects depending on (once
again) the time that you want to spend. As a matter of fact, if
you have the time, we can show you at least forty operating gasifiers from these
three states alone. What looks theoretical to you, is very
practical and regular business to us!!!!
As far as Mr. Dey `one of our countrymen'
not knowing about our gasifiers goes, India is a country of 100 million
people. Our gasifiers are still a very small business and it should never
really come as a surprise in that regard.
Within India, all our systems carry standard
guarantees and warranties and I am forwarding the guarantee card that goes with
each of our systems.
As far as the cost goes, a gasifier
consuming approximately 80-100 kg/hr of biomass is likely to cost (very roughly)
US $ 18000
If you need any help in planning your
itinerary etc. and if you would like us to make any internal reservations /
hotel bookings, do let us know.
We look forward to playing host to
you.
Rgds
Ingrid

Subject: Re: GAS-L: A plague of
criticism, any solutions?
Dear Ingrid
Thank you very much for your ansver.
What I am looking for is some values from a real
operating gasifier.
My experince tell my that it is very difficult to
upscale gasifiers and obtain the same relative data.
If i look in your specification data they look
very "theoretical" to me.
5 years ago I send one of my staff to India
to look at the gasifiers in Bangalore. We where told that there was a 400 kWel
gasifier there, but ........... Gasifiers of this family was also
installed in Switzerland but ...... it has been no succes so far.
Furthermore I have been communicating with one of
your countrymen Mr kollol Dey over the last weeks.
He is looking for gasifiers, and I wonder why he
has not come across one of your gasifiers in his searc for gasifiers
manufacturers.
To be very concrete:
Can you show me an operating system?
How much does your system cost?
How much guarantee are you villing to
give?
And have any body on crest any experinces with
the company Ankur?
I am ready to jump into the next plane to come
and see you gasifier if it looks convincing.
Best regards
Thomas
