Subject: use of horse dung (manure) in gassifier

Dear Sir,

I am a veterinarian working on a stud farm in India, the problem with us is disposal of horse manure.I tried it in biogas with hardly any yield , so thought of using it in a gassifier to produce electricity.

So I would appiciate if you could kindly let me know the following

1  can horse manure along paddy (rice) straw be used.

2 For a farm with 150 horses how big should be the gassifier?

3 What would be the cost of it?

4How much electricity will be generated per 10 kgs of dry compressed horse manure ?

5 Can I manufacture my own gassifier ? Where can I get the design of the same ?

Thanks.

With regards.

Dr Kulkarni
