Stupid me, I had intended to say, "What is contributing the chlorine?" -- not char. We haven't seen any appreciable chlorine in any wood we have tested. We have seen some show up in combustion debris and in some by-products (particularly from paper processes), but I had understood the original question to posit that they were using wood.
