GP: RE: Time is running out!
Decline of oil production is inevitable. The only arguable parameter is
time. Even if it were 100 years that is far too near.
The replacement paradigm has to be online within whatever timeframe. Doing
it the way the enrgy companies want it done means the poor get screwed as
usual. People will not object to nukes if it is that or no electricity. They
are banking on this.

Subject: GP: Time is running out!
Every week I read more and more about the pending decline of oil
production. This week I found the conclusion of Dr. Colin Campbell's
report to Uppsala at
http://www.evworld.com/databases/storybuilder.cfm?storyid=424 Still most
people I talk to are not taking this subject seriously enough. Will it
mean an end to mankind altogether? Can we make the transition to a
different source of energy in time?
Here are some interesting abstracts from a resent workshop held in
Sweden. Most interesting is Matthew Simmons comments about natural gas
in the USA. http://www.isv.uu.se/IWOOD2002/welcome.html
Am I just another chicken little or is the sky really falling this time?
