RE: GBlist: Tires Tires everywhere

I have heard of tires being shredded up and re-constituted into flexible
irrigation piping. It is a leaching type pipe the uses considerably less
water than a typical sprinkler piping due to the reduction in evaporation.
It can be installed below grade or at grade.

What I do not know is the "friendliness" of the reconstitution process,
i.e., what if any chemicals are used and what kind of energy the process
requires. It may be something to check in to.
