Here in Massachusetts several tire recyclers will come and pick up tires for 
about fifty cents a piece. This is the first step in reprocessing them into 
any of several valuable future uses and seems a lot more sensible than the do 
it yourself solutions like making houses or retaining walls out of the ugly 
things.
