Re: GBlist: Re: Drainwater heat recovery (DHR)

Winston:

There's no longer a need to estimate what GFX can do because
www.oikos.com/gfx/showerhead_vs_gfx.html includes "Table 3 --- GFX
PERFORMANCE FOR LOW INCOME HOUSING"; Wrap/Keep Warm Program of Pennsylvania
Utility PP&L, Inc. [For other states, a savings calculator @
www.endlessshower.com permits one to account for wide variations in incoming
water temperature.]

The PP&L field test was conducted in homes specifically selected to
demonstrate savings for a wide range of shower usage [2 to 8 per day].
Corresponding energy savings ranged between 774kWh/yr & 2347kWh/yr, worth
between $65.79 & $199.50/yr @ 8.5-cents/kWh.

Under these conditions, what would DrainGain save in kWh/yr & $U.S. @
8.5-cents/kWh?

Also, how does DrainGain prevent cross-contamination and pass U.S. codes
requiring double-wall-vented construction? [F.Y.I. Nearly all of the U.S.DOE
Grant to develop GFX was consumed in devising a way to pass them.]
