The Position

The Design and Construction Technical Advisor is a member of the Green

Building Initiative and is responsible for developing and implementing

resource and

energy efficient technical services to the design, construction, and

facilities management industry sectors. Critical functions include

developing and implementing

green design and construction consultation services and technical resources.

Responsibilities include responding to inquires for technical information

and

services; reviewing and evaluating scope of project statements, design

schematics, construction plans, and specifications to establish project's

green building

priorities and opportunities; interfacing between project manager and Office

of Planning and Development Review throughout project permitting process;

tracking projects and maintaining records for all green building projects;

developing residential, institutional/commercial, and multi-family design

and construction

guidelines, rating system, and resources; compiling technical information

for case studies, technical resources, and specs in all aspects of green

design,

construction, and operations and maintenance, and coordinating the

development of a public resource center.
