Re: GBlist: AIA Credits

Title: Re: GBlist: AIA Credits
Bruce-
Thanks for bringing this to our attention!  I hope that we inundate them with comments!
        Jonathan Morse

It has come to my attention that in the July 2000 edition of Architectural
Record The Vinyl Institute has succeeded in placing a Continuing Education
program.  What is especially frustrating is that this self-taught course
will provide the professional with one hour of health safety welfare credit.
Perhaps the editors did not take time to acquaint themselves with the
AIA/ERG that raises a significant number of issues in respect to PVC and the
environment as well as a growing number of architects and Owners that seek
to reduce the use of this material.  One must ask if the AIA is in the
business of health safety and welfare in regards to the built environment or
is just in the business of doing business.  Please forward your objections
to rivy@mcgraw-hill.com.
