Re: GBlist: More power plants

It seems to be what it is not! What are they doing with the waste? How long
is it radioactive? How do they guarantee containment for the life-span of
the wastes? What are the waste transportation issues? What source of power
and how much is used to enrich the uranium?

On the last question, I will give you a tidbit. It is my understanding that
all or most uranium is enriched at processing plants in KY and OH that get
their electricity from coal burning plants (high-sulpher to boot). The
amount of coal power used is significant. One of those enrichment plants
uses (or used at one time) as much electricity as the city of Los Angeles.
Zero emmisions for nuclear power is a lie.
