Re: GBlist: Paint remover
For the scraper I highly recommend one with a tungsten-carbide blade. I work at
least 3 times as fast with mine as I did with the old plain steel variety. I also
bought a diamond dust flat hone to sharpen it with, which it needs after about
10-20 hours of use. A large investment for a hand tool but it's a lifetime tool
investment and mine has paid for itself many times over in hours and aches saved.

i'm thinking a heat gun, a scraper, and elbow grease will do the job (though
by no means pleasantly).

Subject: GBlist: Paint Remover
I am looking for a non-toxic, or as close to it as I can get, way to remove
latex paint that has been applied over oil base paint. After removing the
latex that is peeling off I need to paint over the oil base with a low VOC
paint. Has anyone done this before or know of products that would help me?
Thanks!
