RE: GBlist: Compact Fluorescent Residential Fixtures?
Title: RE: GBlist: Compact Fluorescent Residential Fixtures?
Lightolier has a ton of reasonably priced CF downlights and wallwashers. They have both commercial and residential grade. Try http://www.lightolier.com for a rep in your 'hood. You'll need your contractor to order them for you, maybe, or try a builders' supply house (not Home Despot).

Subject: GBlist: Compact Fluorescent Residential Fixtures?
Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience purchasing residential compact fluorescent
fixtures?
I am looking to replace existing fixtures for kitchen, living, restroom,
bedrooms etc.. with nice looking, reasonably priced ($100-150/unit?),
electronic ballasted hardwired compact fluorescent fixtures.
I cannot find such an animal in the local or chain hardware stores in my
area.
Am I being unreasonable here? I know the alternative is to use screw in
compact lamp/ballast combo's but I would rather not throw the ballast away
when the lamp dies.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin P. Gilleran CEM
