Re: GBlist: Compact Fluorescent Residential Fixtures?

Hello Kevin,
You've received enough responses to your query about compact fluorescent
fixtures to get you started. I have installed simple cans (Halo) and put
screw-in compact fluorescents in these, with happy results. Can't dim
them, but don't need to, they aren't that bright, just enough. Cost about
$6 each for the cans plus the trim of $3 each. The expense was in the lamp
itself. I would much prefer to have used the less expensive pin-type
fluorescent but couldn't find cans for these. Wonder if they exist?
Elliptipar makes some good looking functional wall washing fixtures for
fl. lamps but they are very expensive--down lights as well.
