Re: GBlist: Compact Fluorescent Residential Fixtures?

I somehow missed the beginning of the lighting thread, but this may be
helpful. The variety and quality of CFL fixtures seems to have increased
quite a bit in the past three years. In some cases, there is still a price
premium, but in others, the first-cost are very competitive. And, of
course, in almost all cases that I've seen, the fixtures can make a good
deal of sense (and cents) when life-cycle costs are considered. On the
subject of cans, there are a variety of hardwired CFL cans and retrofit kits
available, including dimmable fixtures. For starters, check out:

Hope this helps.
