The insulating value of a double paned window depends on the glass
used...with or without low-e and/or solar heat gain coatings, etc.

The remodel plan is to put a glass block wall 5 feet long and 3 high in
the shower on the North side.  I belive it will be a cold shower.  I am
having a hard time convincing my wife and the builder that another
alternative should be review.  I agree it will bring a lot of light in
to the room but at what cost.  

What is the "value" of a regular double pain window?
