since thermopane windows vary widely in terms of their R value, would be hard 
to say exactly --- plus glass block come in 2", 3" and 4" thicknesses

Weck's brochure lists their 3" block as having a R value of 1.89, 2" is 1.75, 
4" is 2.0
with light transmissions percentages depending on which design    Linda Lloyd
