Sr. Delgado:

This I hope does not sound like too shameless a plug. There are many
qualified energy and environmental building consultants out there who will
be delighted to conduct computer energy efficiency, passive solar, and LEED
support design assistance for architecture firms. Oregon I would suspect
has many such qualified individuals.

Figuring out where to start can seem overwhelming. If you send me a large
stamped self addressed envelope with $5.00 to cover copyright fees and
reproduction cost, I'll forward you a copy of an article we wrote for Home
Energy magazine "Putting a Byte in your Design Tool Box" (close). It covers
the tools and how to match one to your needs.

Also, you may wish to attend a session I have organized at the
International Solar Forum 2001 in Washington, DC April 23/01 Time: 2:00:00 PM
 >> Using Computer Tools for Solar and "Green" Building Design <<

Retaining a consultant can provide not only new insights into how to create
high performance buildings, but experienced consultants tend to train their
clients to do it themselves over time. I know we do, and consider our most
satisfied clients ones who don't need us any more, as green building "grows
up."
