[GBlist] hard water scale in toilets

We have had excellent success with a cleaning product called SUNNY
BRITE made in Fresno Calif.

When we moved into our 3-year-old rural California home on a well, the
toilets had light tan ridges at the water line in the bowl. We tried
every thing to remove the stain and ridges including cloth soaked
Murianic acid siting on the ridge for hours. We didn’t want to use an
aggressive mechanical means remove the stain and ridge. We believed it
would remove the shiny surface on the bowl and that would lead to deep
staining. Nothing worked.

Then we found “sunny brite” at a local hardware store. It was a big
success. We use it 3 or 4 time a year during the normal cleaning
cycle. It keeps the stain and ridge away.

I/we have no affiliation with the product except being a happy user of
it. We love clean sinks and toilets.
