Re: [GBlist] Passive Solar resource sources

Some other books on passive solar design that I had to dust off before
reading the titles are:

The Passive Solar Energy Book by Edward Mazria (Rodale Press, Emmaus, PA;
1979)

The Solar Greenhouse Book edited by James C. McCullagh (Rodale Press,
Emmaus, PA; 1978); this one deals more with the design of residential
greenhouses when used as the passive solar "collector" but there are a few
chapters that deal with heat storage in passive materials.

Passive Solar Homes (91 award winning energy-conserving single-family homes
with illustrations and descriptions); (HUD, 1982); good example book showing
different design treatments for passive solar systems.

Movable Insulation by William K. Langdon (Rodale Press, Emmaus, PA; 1980);
indirectly related to solar design, this one shows many different techniques
for installing movable insulation systems over glazed openings; usually
needed for passive solar building designs to reduce the outflow of stored
heat in passively heated spaces.
