[GBlist] Radiant Floors

Mr. Bowie, Hi. You bring up a subject I wish I had more experience with. The cooling of a living space. Dehumidifying and condensation go hand in hand. Floors don't work. Forget your slippers and put on your rubber boots! The main problem with this passive cooling idea is one of the laws of thermal dynamics, HEAT travels to cold. We don't seem to be able to get around it, not passively anyway. Some success (limited) has been had with cooling thermal mass, then passing air over the mass and on into the living space. The problem of collecting, removing and keeping the condensate HEALTHFUL are costly and-or nearly impossible for the average JOE to do.
{ hope your query sets off a bunch of advice for us. I'm a fat guy living in a humid climate. I'd love some help with this one myself. Presently the best that is being done is to use passive methods to cut the operating costs of electro-mechanical devices Ted
Always glad for the visit
