[GBlist] Is California really the nations power sucker?

This is a photo from another list. It is very interesting to see who is using all the energy in the USA. All I can say is that I am glad I have my solar panels.
Try this link, for us numerically challenged folks, it puts it all in perspective...   a photo from space.

California: 230,000,000,000 kWh/year

     Africa. 375,000,000,000 kWh/year (from DOE)

China: Electricity Generation (1998): 1,098,000,000,000 kilowatthours

     (882.5 conventional thermal; 202.9 hydro; 13.5 nuclear)

Greedy societies get what they deserve... I would guess that the
energy consumption of California is greater than the whole of Africa
     or China?

     (Am I right?)

If people want to avoid blackouts, try using the 'off' switch. It's
     not about peaking plants
