Re: [GBlist] Zero Energy House on Washington Mall
Ted,
Why is it "unfortunate" that it looks like it's becoming "fashionable" to
be "green?" Aren't these the changes we want to see in the world? If a
greater percent of the population starts looking for ways to use less
dirty energy and/or more clean energy, that should be a good thing,
shouldn't it? And if more mainstream builders start to try to meet that
market demand for zero energy houses, that sounds like a pretty good
situation to me.
You/we should hold their feet to the fire and ask them to justify their
claims. Standards will be useful in designing and building buildings and
perhaps to certify the product, but a zero energy bill will be the
ultimate test, no?
Yours truly,
Ross
