[GBlist] small package wastewater treatment

David - John Hanson, Hanson Associates, Jefferson MD 301 371 9172,
makes a simple, well-conceived residential plantbed system for
graywater, which is used in conjunction with composting toilets. We
have used this system and it has been trouble-free so far.

>Does anyone have experience with and recommendations for small package
>wastewater treatment systems - sized for individual homes? We have a
>project for which we are seeking interim solutions to allow time for the
>development of a larger scale biological wastewater system to serve over
>a dozen houses and buildings. I know of and can find info on several
>different manufacturers, but would like to hear from those who have
>direct experience with them if possible. In the short term we need to be
>able to deal with the wastewater for three houses and a couple of other
>buildings to get certificates of occupancy for them before the larger
>system can be designed and is up and working. Eventually, all the
>buildings will be on this larger biological system. Any experiences
>and/or recommendations will be most appreciated.
>
>Additionally, I would love to know about state-of-the-art small scale or
>micro-hydroelectric systems if anyone has current info or knows who's who
>in that field. My contacts and info are a bit dated and I want to be
>better able to analyze what is being proposed in that area as well.
>
>Thanks in advance.
