In Athena and Bill Steen's (new) book: "The Beauty of
Straw Bale Homes", they show a house the exterior of
which is stained with a mixture of copper sulphate and
ferrous sulfate (page 99).

I have a few questions regarding copper sulphate:
how benign/non-toxic is it? Are there other
environmental issues regarding its use (on exterior
or interior walls)? Can it be used on floors?
Where does one get it?

Thanks in advance for any information,

R.
