Re: [GBlist] Building on Rock?

Your best advice on alternative systems will come from the New
Mexico State EPA. They have good information. Pretending it is a site in
their state will speed things up. You are victim to over 100yrs. of wives
tales and superstition. We are bound by old archaic beliefs. Modern
engineers "know " what works, but popular beliefs and politics keep new
methods from being implemented. Perk, smerk, evaporation is the key. Try
telling that to your county inspector. There are straw mound systems that
work. There are "wicking systems that work. Sadly we are hung up on the
gravel leech field as the ONLY system. NM. can give you some other ideas.
Good luck getting them accepted/
