Here are some books that go into varying amounts of details about modular 
construction.  Both modular and manufactured (mobile) houses use similar 
factory techniques to build, but the end product is different.  In many 
locales, modular houses must meet the same building codes as site built 
houses, while manufactured mobile houses have different codes.
