[GBlist] Community Greenhouse?

A project has begun in my hometown to build a Community Greenhouse. This
is a terrific idea, whereby a "solar demonstration" greenhouse is
constructed on public property, to be used for youth programs, classes,
DD programs, as well as production of bedding plants and other
horticultural products.

I recently saw a conceptual design, and believe it needs upgrading or
revision for it to achieve the energy and cost efficiency a high-profile
project such as this warrants.

What other community-orientated greenhouses are there in the country?
I'm familiar with standard commercial and residential designs, but a
"community" greenhouse is it's own beast. I would like to see what other
people have done, in part to learn, and in part to give the project
developers some helpful standards upon which to gauge this project.

Information would be appreciated; thanks.
