[GBlist] Fantech in-line fans and good cfm

Recently someone wrote of an in-line Fantech fan they couldn't hear; I am
interested in the details please.
For a good kitchen hood fan what is considered the optimum cfm in a large
open space? I replaced the standard fan of a hood for a Fantech one
mounted in a plenum at the second story level. Can't recall the cfm but it
isn't as quiet as I would like (probably too powerful). I would like to
get it right this time. Sacie Lambertson
