[GBlist] Fireproof Slate Roof Nailer

Dear list members, Our company is renovating a former library building at
Princeton University. As a fireproofing measure in 1897 The slate roof of
this building was wire tied to 1"X1"steel angle purlins 12" o.c. We may be
replacing this roof and would like to attach a fire rateable, nailable
material to these purlins. Anyone familar with a long term durable material
that would suit this use. Thanks, Walter Langsford, reply to
walterl@princeton.edu
