Funny you should ask. Dr Vasile gave a reference in his recent post to
www.smarthomeownermag.com for something else. I checked out the site, which
didn't lead to what he intended, but there was an article about wood. It
talked about Wolmanized Extra, which is what you are probably referring to.
It said that pressure treated wood has fungicides to keep wood from rotting.
However, pressure treated wood does not have water repellants. Thus wood
can be damaged by absorbing and drying in ways other than rotting. The
Extra is said to be a water repellant.
