Re: [GBlist] Small cabin suggestion
Dear Craig,
Why is it the curse of all "good causes" that we tend to become so
self-righteous and holy once we are "in" the cause. What is going on here?
The fact that we here on this listserve care about green issues does not
give any of us the right to pre-judge people as you have been judged in
these last few days. Particularly when we know nothing about the
particulars of your case. It is the height of arrogance. It is also, sadly,
just plain human nature. I understand the frustration of your last posting.
I think we owe you a big apology. You came here, to people who are
supposedly enlightened about building, out of a desire to do good-- not only
toward your mother but toward the environment. You were treated with
condescension and arrogance. So in the end, how much have we, who are so
enlightened, then done to promote green building?
I don't know that I have anything particular to offer to help solve your
problem, but if you would simply like to brainstorm things, feel free to
give me a call.
